I couldn't decide whether to comment on your post or just...I'll write another post. I was away from the com
puter Saturday/Sunday am...but did you see where I wished you luck on the other site? :D (think you did) Haha, you are living on the edge, eh? Why sleep the night before a run when you can watch a season of Prison Break instead?! hahaha And you still got a great time, 28 min!

It's nice to see pics of you and your family and your bf and all. It must be cool to have someone to go running with. (Don't you love looking at shiny home accessories? I do....haha) You have a Swensen's !!!!!! Me & my family used to go to Swensen's too!!! for special occasions when I was a kid, for years (back in Louisiana)..... I thought Swensen's had gone out of busine
ss. Just because I haven't seen one lately (and you know, of course, if I haven't seen one, it must not exist anymore, hahaha ;D ). That's an awfully cute picture of Py (what a great photo subject she is!) next to the ice cream sundae pic. Nice ice cream sundae picture too...mmm, chocolate ice cream.... and what is that food at the top? It looks like rice pudding with parsley and chili peppers...that looks good.

Nice reflection pictures of yourself, too: there's something very humorous about them that I really like. And I like the way you posted your photos here. Nice collage effect.
We had a cool weekend, but started it off by getting up so early that I was half-asleep and forgot my camera. :( (It wasn't really that early. I'm just lazy!! :D ) While A and his friend worked on some coding project, I visited a lavender farm with Linda (who is A's friend's gf) and she let me use her 2nd camera & even started teaching me how to use her Real Camera, which has interchangeable lenses & such. Now I'll have to nag her to send me copies of the photos from Saturday so I can post for you: lots of rows of purple lavender plants, a small labyrinth made of circular avenues of lavender plants entered through an archway of pink bougainvilla. Bees everywhere drunk on lavender nectar. A giant metal vat full of lavender plants having their essential oils distilled out. Me & Linda both wanted to jump in the vat, although it wasn't really that large. Can you imagine sleeping on a big pile of lavender? or a mattress stuffed with lavender plants?? I hope you like lavender-scent, Joy, or this entire paragraph might be annoying. ; )
Then we spent hours walking around at two different street fairs, one without the guys and one after we dragged them away from their engineering project. One was right next to the ocean, by a beach called, strangely enough, "Ocean Beach." It was great to smell the salty breeze and see a beach that was new to me. After dark we went with the guys to anot
her fair with a lot of rides. There was also an excellent band with a lovely-voiced female lead singer & a cellist. And I got a tattoo at the fair. Unfortunately, it is a fake tattoo which will probably be gone in a few days, airbrushed and hand-painted. But I like it. (If I ever get a real tattoo, it will probably be on my stomach, and definitely not on my arm......(too much trouble thinking about, "Should I hide my tattoo today?" if it's on my arm.....)

Hey, Joy, do you like my tattoo? :D

Much love, & hopefully more pictures soon (here's a new one, the paper version of my favorite plastic-fake tattoo).
Sarah
ps This evil bunny lives in our neighbor's yard. The tree and moon pic is from last week's walk, too.
aww! sarah, i love your tatt but if it's a dark ink, it will be more outstanding. hey, i think you should have a real one! upper arm is a part i want to have my tatt made too but need to get my chubby arms firm and smaller first. ;] i tell you something.. my bro-in-law and my sis had their first tatt on the same day i had my third. bro-in-law is a teacher and he stays with his parents when he gets back to work in another province. he comes to visit my sis on the weekend. his mom is a teacher too and doesn't like tatt, so after he had his tatt done, he has to hide it from his mom. it's been 3 years now since he had his first tatt and i am not so sure if his mom's seen it yet.. (funny huh!)
ReplyDeletewill write more later.. gotta get back to work..
: )
ReplyDeleteI should find a pic for you that I have somewhere of the lotus henna tattoo on my stomach. It was pretty dark.
Hey your arms look beautiful to me! (well I guess I have only seen parts of them in your pics...hmm..... ;D )
Yeah my fiance says I shouldn't get a tattoo on my stomach because then if I have a baby it will get stretched out. Maybe, but on the other hand that would be a good motivation to lose the baby belly, afterwards. Anyway, he just doesn't like tattoos. But...he will like _mine_. HA!
Of course, I could wait and get it on my stomach _after_ having a kid..... :D
Oh my gosh, that's so funny about your brother-in-law! he must be very skillful at hiding things. I bet A. could never hide a tatt from his mom. hahaha
my sister-in-law has a dragon tattoo on a side of her belly. when she was pragnent with py, it stretched out as the belly got bigger but after py was born, it shrank back to the normal size.
ReplyDeleteafter having a tattoo on his back, my bro-in-law never walked shirtless in his own house. we still tease him about that..
Haha, that's so funny! does his mother live with him? is that why? :D
ReplyDeleteI love dragons! I have also had a fake tattoo of a dragon, in pretty colors; it was just plastic, the kind you glue on...wish I had a picture. Cool. I'm very encouraged to hear that pregnancy might not be a big issue with a belly tattoo. ;D Very encouraged.
he still lives in his parents' house when he works at the schoo. they live in a big family.
ReplyDeletei am pretty sure that you will have a real tattoo one day! (and you won't stop at the first one.. -- like me!)
: ) posted a pic of my dragon....
ReplyDeletethe one that my sister-in-law has is pretty similar to your dragon. i think it's cool and i love it! will you have the color like in the picture or just one color.
ReplyDeletemy sis-in-law has black color and it looks nice too..
oh I just saw your question! :P
ReplyDeletehmm...if I really did get a tattoo, it would probably just be black, or one color, and stylized rather than picture-like like this dragon. But if I did get THIS dragon, I would get it in color. :D
I always want to have it both ways.... XD
